If you're a fan of Andy Weir's writing (most known for his breakout novel, #TheMartian) then you probably try to keep an eye out for anything else he's written. A while back he had published a #shortstory called "The Egg." It's an intriguing tale that is more spiritual and metaphysical than it is Sci-Fi. It is definitely speculative fiction. And in the most generous sense possible, I might call it #meaningfulSciFi.
I love that #YouTube channel "Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell" created this fantastic animation to accompany the short story. Do yourself a big favor. Sit back, relax, and soak in this fantastic story and animation.
